Debbie Watson BVetMed MRCVS, Partner
Debbie is one of the two partners in the Rivendell Practice. She was born and grew up in this area, and studied at the Royal Veterinary College in London. Before moving back to practice in this area she spent several years at the Royal Veterinary College referral hospital in London and then Avon Vale Equine practice in Warwickshire and Pennsylvania, USA. She has ridden, owned, bred and competed with horses for the major part of her life. She bred and owned a World and European Gold medal winning eventer. She also has two labrador dogs.
Jane Anderton BVSc MRCVS, Partner
Jane qualified in Australia in 1992 at Queensland University and worked in a variety of mixed and small animal practices. Since coming to England in 1994 she has worked exclusively with small animals. Although originally a ‘cat person’, she owns three Labradors and has bred a number of litters. She also has a beautiful Birman cat. Jane is based mainly at Farncombe.
Gemma Morley (nee Walker) BVSc MRCVS
Gemma trained at Liverpool University and joined us in 2009. She is based at the Vale Veterinary Centre and specialises in small animals, particularly small animal surgery. Before family responsibilities took over, Gemma was a successful Vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) competitor, nationally and internationally. She also has a dog – a lurcher which she rescued since she started at Rivendell.
Marion Cabrero MRCVS
Marion comes from France, and graduated from the University of Liege in 2011. She then undertook a rotating internship at the University, specialising in small animals. After another 2 years in general practice in France, gaining experience, Marion arrived in the UK, worked in Cambridge for 2 years and has now joined Rivendell Vets. Marion is studying for a further qualification in medicine with a special interest in diagnostic imaging. Outside of work she likes traveling, and loves sharing a good meal with friends and family.
Marion lives in Godalming, and has a cat named Cachou.
James Lynch, RVN
James is an experienced veterinary nurse who is now based at our Vale Veterinary Centre. He joined us in 2007 and previously worked in surgeries in Woking and Haslemere. Just before coming to Rivendell James did a spell working as a locum veterinary nurse in New Zealand. Fortunately for us Surrey had a stronger appeal. He has two Labradors – Oreo and Molly.
Ali has over 20 years’ experience working as a veterinary nurse, having first worked for Debbie a number of years ago. She is currently working full time at the Vale Veterinary Centre. When not at work or looking after her family, she can frequently be found walking her German shorthaired pointer ‘Darcy’.
Helen is a qualified veterinary nurse who has worked in first opinion and referral practices. She works in both our Farncombe and Vale small animal surgeries. Helen has 2 cats and outside work and family she enjoys sewing as a relaxation.
Saskia has previously worked for the GB eventing squad so is very comfortable with horses as well as being interested in small animals and working as a trainee veterinary nurse at Farncombe. She has 2 dogs, 1 horse and a rabbit. In her spare time she competes with her very active ex racehorse, Brodie.
Katie grew up in Faversham, Kent. She qualified in 2005 while working at a small animal practice in Broadstairs on the Kent coast. Since then she has spent most of her time working in leading specialist referral practices across the south until she joined Rivendell in January 2016. She is based at the Farncombe Veterinary Surgery. Katie’s main areas of interest are anaesthesia, surgical and emergency nursing and she holds the ESVPS accredited nurses certificate in anaesthesia and critical care. Katie also has a dog, a pug called Elvis, who, she says, “never fails to make me smile”. Outside work Katie has a love of dance and being anywhere by the sea!
Amy started out in Sussex at a small animal practice in 2001 where she began her Veterinary Nurse training. After five years she moved to Surrey and joined a referral practice where she worked as a receptionist, Veterinary Nurse and Student Radiographer. She qualified in 2013 and joined us at Rivendell in September 2016. Amy has a lovely Border Terrier and in her spare time loves to spend time with her son, walk the dog or work on home improvements.
Amy will most often be found working at our Farncombe surgery but she also helps us at Vale Veterinary Surgery.
Muna Roberts: Muna also works for us on an occasional basis; she specialises in cats.
